'Crow in the Maple Tree' has been simmering in my mind for a couple of years. I saw this crow as I was driving by Lamoine State Park. The park has many old stately maples along the road. The black crow, yellow leaves and intense blue sky of fall caught my eye.

'Fleeing Fawn' There is a doe in Lamoine that has twin fawns every year. She often grazes in the yard and I've painted her and her fawns many times. This fawn was startled and ran through the long grass. I wanted to show the grace of movement, as well as how the grass and spots make patterns. This is a large painting - 29" X 22".
